Mini-ISS SpaceUp Edition

ISS Mini SpaceUp Signets

This model showcases the international space station as it is supposed to look like by the end of 2015. It is my personal creation and no official set by the LEGO™ Group.

The model spans 22 cm wide, 17 cm high and 15 cm deep and is made of 175 bricks. Although that is quite small it incorporates a high level of details including radiators, ELCs, AMS and the one and only Canadarm. It comes with three Soyuz capsules and one ATV docked. On the display stand there are three „parking studs“ to accommodate those capsules and modules you decide to not being currently docked. You can turn the solar panels as you like them and rearrange the modules according to future plans of the real ISS.

The white tiles of the stand are supposed to carry signets of NASA, Roscosmos, ESA, CSA and JAXA and the ISS itself. Apply them if you have them!

This model is very rare: Currently only 120 sets exist worldwide as all participants of this year’s SpaceUpCologne got this little cutie as a freebee. Everyone else fear not as here comes a solution for you to get your own one:

1. Download the building instructions. Please do not share this pdf-file. Share the link to my page instead.

2. Order your bricks. You’ll find the parts list on the building instructions. I recommend buying them directly from LEGO (approx. EUR 25.-) using their bricks & pieces service. I purposely designed the model using bricks that are currently available. However you can of course buy them at Bricklink or Brickowl (or any other place) as well or just pick them from your own personal storage. You even might want to enhance the fun and add some more modules to your personal version. Here some suggestions:

ISS Mini SpaceUp Mk2 vehicles

  • HTV: 1x golden round brick (6060800) + 1x white round plate (614101)
  • Cygnus Orb: 2x med stone grey round plate (4211525) + 1x silver metallic round flat tile (4655241)
  • Dragon X: 1x white inverted cone (currently not available in white, sorry! If you want to go for black: 4655241) + 1x white round flat tile (4646844)

3. Make a donation. Seriously, please consider making a donation. I spend a considerable amount of time (and bricks) developing this model. And you seem to like it that much that you were willing to pay for the bricks already. Choose yourself the amount that is worth you.

4. You are now Go for build!

5. Vote for it at LEGO Ideas. It might become an official set then!
